Key Dates for Connections 2020

April 2019 – Applications open

8 July 2019 at 12 midday – Applications close

15 July 2019 – We let you know if you have a place

9 September 2019 – You will need to let us know your two top play choices

Mid-September 2019 – We will confirm which play you will be performing

11 – 13 October 20189 – Directors’ Weekend at the National Theatre (attendance required)
2pm – 6pm on Friday 11 October
9am – 7.30pm on Saturday 12 October (attendance until 5.30pm required)
9.30am – 3.30pm on Sunday 13 October (attendance until 11.30am required)

November 2019 – You will need to submit the dates of your two required Home Performances

February 2020 – You need to provide company demographic information

February – March 2020 – Home Performances take place

Mid-March – mid-May 2020 – Partner Theatre Festivals

Late June / early July 2020 – National Theatre Festival

Deadline for applications is Mon 8 July 2019, 12 noon. 

Connections is open to any company of young people aged 13-19. Whether you’re a school, youth theatre, voluntary organisation, are experienced or you’ve never staged a production before, your group can apply to be part of Connections.
