Overview
Director Sally Cookson and members of the company discuss how they worked collaboratively and used Charlotte Brontë’s original novel as a starting point for creating a vibrant piece of devised theatre.

This education resource will support students to understand Sally Cookson’s devising process and how they can use it effectively in their own theatre-making.
It supports the study of devised theatre in GCSE Drama and A Level Drama and Theatre.
It also offers a new perspective for students studying the original novel for GCSE and A Level English Literature.
