Overview

One of the central conflicts in Antigone, Creon’s belief in the State weighed against the actions of his family, is explored in this short film. The film features footage from the 2012 production of Antigone and interviews with actors Christopher Eccleston and Jodie Whittaker and director Polly Findlay.

This resource is part of a collection of short films focussing on Greek tragedy at the National Theatre.

This film is designed to support the study of Greek drama and Antigone as part of a Drama or Classics course at Key Stage 3 and above.
